'Light The Night Walk' is the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's annual walk fundraiser.  It brings together friends, families and communities to honor patients and survivors, honor lives lost to cancer and further the fight to find a cure to blood cancers.

The event took place at Raley Field in West Sacramento, on Saturday, November 1.

West Sacmento Mayor Christopher Cabaldon was there, as well as KVIE's 'Rob on the Road' Rob Stewart, who emceed the race.

The walk was free to attend, but those participants who had fundraised $100 or more were considered Champions for Cures, and were entitled to a t-shirt, illuminated lantern, and food/refreshments.

The highlight of the evening was a 1.3 mile walk lit by the walkers carrying their illuminated lanterns.
