I Fixed My Sink!!!

I Fixed My Sink!!!

Well my contact fell off of my hand while taking it out the other day. After about 45 minutes of searching around the sink and on the floor I determined that I could simply take the trap out from under the sink to see if it was in there. It wasn't that simple. I was able to get it out and it was pretty simple but... the pipe broke off at the threads inside of one of the pipes. It didn't make sense to me at first because the pipes weren't fitting together properly. I shot a little video and took it to my neighborhood hardware store and the guy told me that the threads probably broke off. It all made sense to me and i spent an hour digging out the broken threads and I'm all good now.

Wonderful Surprise!

Wonderful Surprise!

Each week I enjoy finding new blooms in my yard! They just pop up when they feel like it. Simply beautiful!

Natomas Park Elementary garden grows love of veggies

At Natomas Park Elementary little hands are loving digging in the dirt and watching nature in action. It's the school's garden and you can find strawberries, artichokes, corn and other vegetables and plants thriving there. The students take care of the garden as do parent and teacher volunteers who plant, weed and water. This week, first-graders in Mrs JoAnne Ferraz's class picked and tasted radishes. They were a hit! Teachers say for many students this is a chance to connect with where food comes from and many are removed from that step. Another plus is students get excited to try vegetables they may not otherwise be interested in, after they have a hands-on part of helping them grow.

April Showers Bring...

Each week I notice a new bloom in my yard! This is my first Spring here, so there are plenty of surprises. I have no idea what kind of plant this is, but it certainly caught my eye!

Our friend Ms Lady Goats has done it again!  She literally built this fine friend the day it posted!  I adore the color, and I’m pretty fond of the final use for it, that she settled on…

What would you use it for?

I was thinking this would be fabulous for my own personal needs to make it a tad wider and use it for filing and paper!
