Man accused of DUI in fatal Northgate Blvd. crash | Crime
SACRAMENTO, CA - An arrest has been made in a Sunday early morning crash in which a passenger died.
Christopher Lee Daniels, 29, of Sacramento, was ejected when the car in he was in drifted off of Northgate Boulevard south of West Stadium Lane and ran into a tree, splitting in half, said Officer Lizz Dutton with the California Highway Patrol. Daniels was ejected from the 2010 black Chevrolet Camaro. First responders pronounced him dead at the scene.
Dutton said the man behind the wheel, Sir Von Church, 33, of Fairfield, suffered minor injuries and was treated at an area hospital. Upon Church's release, Dutton said he was arrested on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter, felony driving under the influence, and driving on a suspended driver's license. Church was booked into Sacramento County Jail.
